Rebranding of iron foundry Sperre Baltic

From now on we will be known
 under name Scandicast

● Scandinavian quality level

● Castings for demanding customers

The reason behind the rebranding is that the Sperre family sold its compressor business Sperre Industri AS to private equity player Norvestor in March last year. As part of the transaction, Norvestor also acquired the rights to the “Sperre” trademark.

Scandicast SIA is (still) owned by the Sperre-family through the investment company SMV Invest AS (formerly Sperre Mek. Verksted AS), headed by Erik Langseth, who is also the Chairman of the Board at Scandicast.

Sperre Baltic is the only metallurgical company within the group and operates independant. Therefore within reorganization process it was taken decision that the Company in future operates under their own identity.

The Sperre family’s primary focus is to develop its remaining industrial operations, including Scandicast.

SMV Invest AS has a solid financial position and is prepared to support Scandicast to the ultimate benefit of the company’s customers.
